Lorene Arey brings over 25 years of experience to her role at FullCycle, where she provides general management advise and strategic communications counsel.
Lorene previously spent seven years building the communications operation at Cisco Systems. Aspart of the executive team, Lorene led Worldwide Communications for Cisco and was responsible for creating and executing the company’s communications strategy for investors, customers, employees, and the media. Lorene led the team responsible for making Cisco a household name. She oversaw the efforts to shape the company’s image and managed communications for 36 of the company’s acquisitions, a purchase price totaling more than $32 billion. The accomplishments of Lorene’s team received national attention for their success, including a profile in the WallStreet Journal.
After leaving Cisco, Lorene founded the Clara Fund. The Clara Fund is a family foundation focused on gender equality and sustainable markets. In 2018, Lorene was recognized for her achievements by Girls Inc. and received their Strong, Smart & Bold award. Lorene sits on several boards, including B Lab and Soap Public Media. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Highest Distinction.
